La pubblicazione è esclusivamente on-line, completamente gratuita e garantisce tempi rapidi e grande diffusione sul web. L’Editorial Board INGV, grazie al suo carattere multidisciplinare, assicura i requisiti di qualità per la pubblicazione dei contributi sottomessi.

Miscellanea INGV (Misc. INGV) favours the publication of scientific contributions regarding the main activities carried out at INGV. In particular, Miscellanea INGV gathers reports of scientific projects, proceedings of meetings, manuals, relevant monographs, collections of articles etc. The journal is published online to guarantee celerity of diffusion on the internet. A multidisciplinary Editorial Board and an accurate peer-review process provide the quality standard for the publication of the contributions.

Il manoscritto dovrà essere sottomesso via e-mail alla Segreteria di Redazione del CEN all'indirizzo: Questo indirizzo email è protetto dagli spambots. È necessario abilitare JavaScript per vederlo..

In caso di file eccessivamente pesanti, la trasmissione del manoscritto dovrà essere effettuata via ftp al seguente indirizzo: ftp.ingv.it/pro/cen (nome utente: cen - password per l’inserimento: cde45rf), oppure via wetransfer, dandone comunque notizia all’indirizzo email sopracitato.

Il corresponding author tiene tutti i rapporti con la Redazione riguardo la corrispondenza e le eventuali richieste di intervento su manoscritti in corso di lavorazione.

In conformità agli argomenti trattati, l’Editor in Chief affida il manoscritto ad un Editor Associato che individua uno o più referee per eseguire la revisione sulla base di criteri di qualità dei contenuti e di rispondenza alle linee guida.

2) da una a tre keywords (in inglese ed in italiano per manoscritti in italiano; in inglese e facoltativamente anche in italiano per manoscritti in inglese) descrittive del contenuto del manoscritto;
3) uno Short Title (titolo abbreviato) per l'intestazione, nel caso che la somma dei caratteri del titolo originale e del nome del primo autore sia più di 75 (spazi inclusi).

Al fine di facilitare il lavoro di revisione il testo dovrà avere le righe numerate con esclusione della bibliografia.

Negli articoli in italiano, le parole in lingua straniera o i termini specialistici dovranno essere scritti in corsivo (es: Strombus B. - inner edge - fast-stati, etc).

IMMAGINI
Le immagini dovranno essere in formato eps, tiff, png o jpg con risoluzione minima di 300dpi.
Si raccomanda di fornire le figure non solo inserite nel testo ma anche in file separati nel formato sopraindicato. Le immagini dovranno essere numerate e corredate da didascalia.

La Redazione suggerirà una figura o parte di essa per la copertina dell’articolo.

BIBLIOGRAFIA E CITAZIONI
Le citazioni bibliografiche dovranno essere inserite nel testo tra parentesi quadre [es. Lyell and Bertrand, 1987; Lyell et al., 1997]. Tutte le citazioni saranno riportate in bibliografia in ordine alfabetico e nel formato indicato nell'esempio sotto riportato.

Guidelines for submissions to “Miscellanea INGV”

“Miscellanea INGV” accept manuscripts in Italian or in English.

Heavy files (>30 Mb) should be submitted via ftp to: ftp.ingv.it/pro/cen (user: cen - password: cde45rf), or via wetransfer, giving notice of the submission to the above mentioned e-mail address.

The corresponding author keeps all the reports with the editorial staff regarding correspondence and any requests for intervention on manuscripts in progress.

In compliance with the topics discussed, the Editor in Chief entrusts the manuscript to an Associate Editor who identifies one or more referees to perform the revision of the manuscript, on the basis of the quality of contents and compliance with the guidelines.

NOTICE: submitted manuscripts not adhering to the following guidelines will be sent back to the author before the start of the process of revision.

FORMAT

The document must be written in .doc or in .docx with the following characteristics:

font Times New Roman 11 pt, line-spacing 12 pt (single space), document format A4 standard (margins: top 2,54cm – bottom 2cm – right 2cm – left 2cm), 1 cm indent.

It is necessary to send also the .pdf version of the submitted manuscript.

The manuscript is composed by:

frontispiece with title, authors (full name and surname), affiliations
un-numbered index
un-numbered introduction
maintext with numbered paragraphs and subparagraphs
un-numbered references

Authors are requested to provide:
1) the personal Orcid identifier;
2) up to three keywords (both in Italian and in English for manuscripts written in Italian; in English - and optionally also in Italian - for manuscripts written in English) that describe the main topic of the manuscript;
3) a short title for the heading when the sum of the characters of the original title and of the name of the first author is more than 75 (including spaces). The manuscripts must be line numbered (excluding the References).

Words in foreign language (for manuscripts in italian) and specialized terms should be written in italics.

FIGURES

Figures must be in .eps, .tiff, .png or .jpg format, with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi. Please provide numbered figures with their caption within the maintext and as separate files.

REFERENCES AND CITATIONS

Citations must be placed in the text in square brackets [es. Lyell and Bertrand 1987; Lyell et al. 1997]. All the citations will be reported in the References list in alphabetical order and in the following format:
